    Are you looking to implement and support voice and data networks for a Fortune 200 Company that was selected by ComputerWorld as one of the Best Places to Work in IT? Do you have eight-plus years of WAN/LAN network architecture design and management experience? If so, we want to discuss the Manager Network Services role that we are looking to fill on our IT Operations team in Richmond, VA.

    What will you be doing?

    • You will handle the technical operations for local and wide area networks, unified communications and telecommunications services across the enterprise
    • You’ll lead supplier relationships to meet or exceed service levels for operational needs
    • You will maintain a strong partnership with account managers and other delivery teams to ensure efficient resolution of incidents and successful delivery of change requests
    • You’ll ensure compliance to contract obligations, security and technical standards to meet or exceed policies and audit expectations
    • You will identify business investments and saving opportunities that will improve service and reduce overall year to year budget expenditures
    • You’ll conduct operational reviews and ensures support concerns are addressed and service optimization opportunities are leveraged to improve customer experience
    • You will dedicatedly monitor service performance; conduct capacity and trend analysis; to identify/resolve issues before they become service impacting events
    • You’ll develop and lead strategic partner/supplier relationships to ensure maximum leverage, to include technical solutions, negotiations, and contracts. Work with vendors to implement product feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability
    • You will partner with the Architects & Engineering team to drive operational transformation, automation, and continuous improvements
    • You’ll follow ITIL best practices in implementing, managing and delivering services.

    What do your background and experience look like?

    • You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Information Science
    • You have 8+ years of relevant technical experience in Networking
    • You have at least 5 years of experience managing a complex IT infrastructure environment
    • We prefer you are ITIL Certified
    • We prefer you have CISCO CCNA and/or CCIE Certification
    • You have 8+ years of technical management experience in a complex, distributed, high transaction infrastructure environment with proven responsibility for similar job functions
    • You have a minimum of 8 years of WAN/LAN network architecture design and management experience
    • You have 5+ years of network engineering experience with routing and switching, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Cisco Nexus, and IOS, Riverbed, Palo Alto and F5
    • You have a demonstrable ability to develop an architecture and provide design oversight that incorporates high availability, automation, operations supportability and scalability to a high volume, rapidly growing world-class manufacturing business
    • You have strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
    • You possess strong analytical skills to identify incident trends that enable process improvements
    • You can relay complex technical concepts in a manner that achieves understanding and consensus to proposed recommendation and actions
    • You can function effectively under pressure in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands and crisis management
    • You demonstrate continuous improvement, quality methodology and creative problem-solving skills
    • You can run a budget effectively and have solid contract management skills
    • You can work flexible hours and be accessible 24/7/365
