(ISC)2RVA Monthly Meeting - June 25 2020

This month’s presentation David Leonard, our ISC2RVA Chapter Secretary will speak about Threats to Remote Workers and Incident response. 

It goes without saying the drastic changes of late have forced managers and leaders to embrace wholesale remote work.

At first glance one would think not much would change for the analyst given the way he or she interfaces with the tools (either GUIs or CLI).  However, the proverbial more-than-meets-the-eye reality is that organizations at the very least should be diligent to review and revise its guidelines and procedures as well as think hard on the ways the team members interact remotely.

David is an Associate member of (ISC)² and is on track to obtain full CISSP designation next summer.  He worked as an Incident Responder for General Electric responsible for start to finish analysis of security incidents generated by some 400,000 users and one million endpoints across the globe. He currently works at Genworth Financial and has also worked as lead SOC analyst at a bank, an analyst for an MSSP, and product developer for a DC-based startup

Members that hold a (ISC)2 certification will received up to two CPE for attendance. You must register in the Zoom session using your full name to be eligible for CPE credits. Your membership account must also have your correct (ISC)2 certification ID to be awarded the CPE credits.
