    VP Information Technology - Argent Credit Union (Chester, VA)

    Position Summary:

    This role is responsible for providing the vision and leadership to proactively manage enterprise-wide Information Technology (IT) systems that support uninterrupted business operations while improving organizational efficiencies within the guidelines of established policies, procedures, and defined organizational success measures.

    This role will lead and develop a team of IT professionals and advance department competencies to effectively maintain and enhance IT systems performance. The Vice President of IT will also work with various business partners and staff to evolve Argent Credit Union’s IT infrastructure in alignment with Argent Credit Union’s technology roadmap.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Accountable for directing, coordinating, and overseeing all areas of Argent Credit Union’s technology infrastructure and information systems including management of IT staff.

    2. Responsible for ensuring IT procedures are conducted to commensurate with the best interest of the organization in alignment with defined policies.

    3. Develop, champion, and implement an Information Technology roadmap including budget based upon CEO and Board strategic vision and growth objectives.

    4. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals equipment.

    5. Responsible for maintaining accurate and updated IT services documentation and change control management procedures expected within a highly secure environment within a regulated industry.

    6. Develop, direct, and maintain strategic relationships with current and potential business partners/vendors to support organizational growth and service delivery.

    7. Analyze trends and make technology recommendations for the efficient operation, service enhancements, and strategic growth of Argent Credit Union including assessment of inhouse and outsourced services for optimal business continuity.

    8. Serve as primary disaster recovery and business continuity expert.

    9. Cultivate strategic service provider partnerships. Work with external technology consultants to conduct technology assessments and control audits.

    10. Maintain an awareness of industry regulations and compliance. Provides guidance and direction for the physical and cyber security protection of information system assets.

    11. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

     

    Qualifications:

    •              Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management or Business Management.

    •              5+ years of direct Information Systems and Technology management experience, including leading a technology and security team.

    •              Equivalent work experience considered in lieu of degree; that includes at least 10 years IT experience, with minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a technical setting. 

    •              Strong working knowledge of IT Operating Systems 

    •              Knowledge of credit union core data processing system (Corelation) and the workflow of various Networking Applications.
