    Information Systems Security Officer - DTS

    Location: Fort Lee, VA

    DTS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) with the migration of individual Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) to a Medical Community of Interest (Med-COI) network, providing a Local Area Network, Directory Services, Compute and Storage, Desktop as a Service, Global Service Center, and Cyber Security.

    The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services to Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS.


    ·        Conduct scans of the MTF network to create an "as is" view.

    ·        Assist in drafting “Authorization to Operate” (ATO) packages for new and existing systems.

    ·        Provide subject matter expertise in all cyber security initiatives and help in explaining new guidance.

    ·        Draft documentation needed to announce new cyber security initiatives and participate in the building and implementing processes surrounding cyber security.

    ·        Provide cyber security reports to DHA leadership, conduct scans, and participate in the process to obtain ATO status for systems determined by DHA and/or MTF leadership.

    ·        Comply with MTF cyber security program implementation plan and compliance with DHA management policies.

    ·        Ensure compliance with data security policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements in accordance with DHA directives and applicable Risk management Framework (RMF) requirements.

    ·        Ensure appropriate changes and improvement actions are implemented as required. Maintain current knowledge of authenticator management for unclassified systems.

    ·        Ensure compliance with protection requirements, control procedures, incident management reporting, remote access requirements, and system management for all systems under scope.

    ·        Other tasks as assigned.


    Education/Experience/Certification Requirements:

    ·        Bachelor’s Degree or other related discipline, or 4+ years of related experience

    ·        7+ years minimum of related experience

    ·        Security+ certification (or more advanced security-related certification); within 180 days of start date

    ·        Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

    ·        Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)

    ·        Experience with DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures

    ·        Minimum one-year Experience as an Information Systems Security Officer

    • SSCP
    • CASP+ CE
    • CCNP Security
    • CISA
    • CISSP (or Associate)

    Security Clearance: Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

    Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
